With an ageing population, falls have become a serious public health problem. It is estimated that at least one-third of people aged 65 years and over fall one or more times a year. Unfortunately falls are more likely to occur as you get older due to a reduction in balance and they are also more likely to result in serious injuries. This can subsequently cause loss of independence and quality of life.

For anyone dealing with falls or the risk of falling it can be frustrating and lead to feelings of helplessness and lack of self-esteem. For a lot of older people it is important to remain in their own home, and keep their independence and so this is why we have developed our falls prevention program.
